We might believe that all foods provide us with energy and although there is some
credence to that, not all will provide you with a long-lasting one.
People who have chronic fatigue syndrome or CFS should pay particularly close
attention to the foods that they eat since some of them may exacerbate their condition
and may lead to unwanted side effects.
It is best that you consult with a nutritionist to help you craft the right nutrition plan for
you and it is also helpful that you take the best supplements for men to help you as well.
Today, I am going to go over the foods that you should avoid if you are suffering from
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
Sugary Foods and Drinks
Sodas, cakes, pastries, and other sugary foods and drinks should not be consumed at
all, if you can help it. Our natural inclination would be to reach for anything that is sweet
to provide us with an energy boost but keep in mind that that will always result in a
crash not too long after.
Aside from that, high sugar consumption may lead to diabetes which can result in health
complications if left unchecked.
I know that it is hard to completely ditch sugary foods and drinks from your diet but you
have to start now in order for you to have a much healthier life in the future.
If you absolutely have to eat something sweet, opt for fruits instead. Fruits like apple
and orange are filled with fructose which is a natural sugar that is healthy for you.
Your morning routine might include drinking a cup or two of coffee and although it does
provide you with some health benefits, drinking coffee solely for its caffeine content can
be detrimental to your health.
Keep in mind that because caffeine is a stimulant, it may lead to heart palpitations or
increased heart rate which can worsen your symptoms of CFS.
Add to that the fact that the energy boost doesn’t last that long, you would be reaching
for more cups than you have to.
If you just drink coffee for its taste, opting for decaf can really help.
French Fries, hotdog, and other fried goodies are actually not good for you. This is
especially true if you are buying fried foods from fast food stores since they are usually
fried in unhealthy oils.
Unhealthy oils can lead to increased free radicals in the body that will lead to cell
damage. This is true if you are consuming fried foods on a consistent basis.
If you want the taste of fried foods, you might just want to fry them yourself and opt for
healthy oils. If you can, opt to steam the food instead.
Hydrogenated oils can be found in candy bars, cake mixes, creamers, margarine, and
processed foods. Like sugar, they also worsen your CFS by providing you with a
temporary energy boost followed by a crash.
Opt for healthier food choices. Instead of using coffee creamer, for example, use whole
milk or low-fat milk.
